This section is composed of core records on the policy and decision-making work of ICCROM General Assembly and Council for the development of cultural heritage conservation worldwide. The General Assembly consists of delegates from all ICCROM Member States. The Council includes 25 persons, elected by the General Assembly from within its members, and six ex officio members representing UNESCO, the Italian Government, the Italian Central Institute for Restoration (Instituto Centrale per il Restauro), as well as the International Council of Museums (ICOM), the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Council members are elected for four years for a maximum of two consecutive terms. The Council acts under the authority of the General Assembly, and may establish such committees as may be necessary to advise it in the performance of its functions.

This section also contains a series of sound and audiovisual recordings of the Governing Bodies sessions.
